Got out again today for some fun on the fishing kayaks.

Whew what a trip today we got to go out to the Indian River in Ocala for some nice adventuring on our fishing kayaks today. The water out there is so beautiful and pristine crystal clear you can see all the way down to the bottom if you wear your polizared sunglasses. It is fun watching the fish duck and dive in and out of the weeds and rocks and stumps at the bottom of the creeks and reservoirs out there because you know that you can catch them too.

We did a lot of catching out kayak fishing today I ended up with almost 30 keeper bass with the biggest being 4 half pounds they also snagged a few catfish on this trip but my brother won the day with over 40 keeps and a full stringer of crappie all kayak fishing. He was on top of the world today I can imagine it if I caught that many out of everybody on the boat I would be very happy too but I am happy for him that he won and that he taught me a couple of tips today. If you read up you may never know I might share those tips with you one day youll just never know.

All in all it was a very good day out on our fishing kayaks and everybody came home safe we all caught some fish and enjoyed a nice day out on the water. In life this is what it is all about just the outdoors your family your dog and some good fishing oh and good weather I almost forgot that one. Until next time I hope you have fun out there fishing and Tight lines my friends! Have fun and stay safe out there kayak fishing!

Kayak Fishing Report 7/25/2009

I went out on my first kayak fishing trip this week, and managed to rustle up a few smaller keeper fish. The weather has been nice down here in Florida, providing us with excellent afternoon showers that bring the fish into the right mood making them practically jump on your hook. This is why I have been wanting to get out onto the water all week now dreading it since everyday I have been at work 9-5 just thinking about when I can get back onto the water. Well today was finally the day that I got back out, and holy cow, the fishing was excellent.

Taking my boat out for what seemed like my first kayak fishing expedition in at least a few months - it was really only a few weeks, but it seems like forever - I put in at a lake near my house that has excellent kayak fishing accessibility. You can park right next to the waters edge and drop in your kayak from there. Not many people bother you around there either so you can fish for a long time if you have the time to do it that is.

When everything came together the total fish number I came home with was 0. Got ya! I don't keep any of the fish I catch buw I did catch a lot of fish though. I lost count at the fish tellers stats of around I would say 40 or so bass and more panfish than I can count at all. Woah. Maybe I will get to go out on the water again this weekend if my fiance will allow it. Women I tell ya! Thanks for stopping my by fishing kayaks blog! Tight Lines until next time, stay safe out there kayak fishing!
