Got Out For Some More Kayak Fishing Today!
We started out by the buckman bridge fishing up and down the pillars with shrimp, and maribou jigs. They were tearing the jigs up, and the shrimp didn't really turn on til this evening. All in all, it was a very fun time. My partner ended up boating 19 fish total, including trash fish (hey a fish is a fish in my book! save the trash for wednesday mornings!)
We did get to try out our new pelican potomac kayaks. I didn't care for mine too much but then again I dont like the 10 feet long sit in sides. They tend to make you ache at the end of the day. He gave his good reviews!
I ended up leaving the day with around 12, even pulled a bass out of some pretty salty water. Most of the catching was lady fish, jacks, a red, and a couple trout. Not bad for a day of kayak fishing. After all it beats work any day. I have a coozie I keep with me, my good luck coozie, that says a bad day fishing is better than a good day working! I believe it, and being out on the fishing kayaks was excellent. If you haven't done it yet you gotta get out!

Kayak Fishing Report 7/25/2009
Taking my boat out for what seemed like my first kayak fishing expedition in at least a few months - it was really only a few weeks, but it seems like forever - I put in at a lake near my house that has excellent kayak fishing accessibility. You can park right next to the waters edge and drop in your kayak from there. Not many people bother you around there either so you can fish for a long time if you have the time to do it that is.
When everything came together the total fish number I came home with was 0. Got ya! I don't keep any of the fish I catch buw I did catch a lot of fish though. I lost count at the fish tellers stats of around I would say 40 or so bass and more panfish than I can count at all. Woah. Maybe I will get to go out on the water again this weekend if my fiance will allow it. Women I tell ya! Thanks for stopping my by fishing kayaks blog! Tight Lines until next time, stay safe out there kayak fishing!
